Abstract

Automation system for production of electronic lectures

Electronic lectures continue to receive a lot of attention in online education as important aids for self-paced learning, thanks in part to their increasing fidelity to the classroom counterparts.  Nowadays there is a great variety of free and commercial tools for producing electronic lectures. One popular tool from the realm of free software is Microsoft Producer. It comes with many templates for creating streaming media presentations with audio and/or video playing in sync with your slides. In this project we will build a number of enhancements around Microsoft Producer to add more interactivity by means of a self-assessment quiz and integrate more learning resources while adding efficiency to the production cycle.

The automation system is being developed to streamline and automate the production of electronic lecture modules for the World Trade Organization.
