Commemorative lectures of the first Hideyo Noguchi Africa Prize Laureates

Dr. Brian Greenwood and Prof. Miriam K.Were are laureates of the inaugural Hideyo Noguchi Africa Prize. The commemorative lecture is expected to sensitize the academic and international community to the importance of the Prize and the significance of the achievements of the two laureates.

Lecture 1: "Malaria elimination-Is it possible?" by Dr. Brian Greenwood, Manson Professor of Clinical Tropical Medicine, London School of Hygine and Tropical Medicine.
Lecture 2: "Potential for Improvement in Africa's Health Through Evidence and Persistence in the Spirit of Dr. Hideyo Noguchi" by Prof. Miriam K. Were, Chairperson of Kenya's National AIDS Control Council.

This event is organized by the Cabinet Office and co-organized by Science Council of Japan and United Nations University.
