Rose Hall, UNU HeadquartersVice President Francisco Santos Calderon is actively promoting the concept of “Shared Responsibility” which covers the interlinkages between drug trafficking and biodiversity (i.e. the negative impact drug production and trafficking have on the environment), and the shared responsibility of both producer and consumer countries.A series of talks with Colombian Vice President Calderon have been taken place around the world over the past years; these talks are centred on the concept of “Shared Responsibility” and are being held with representatives from ministries, NPOs and NGOs, related governmental organizations, members of academia and the public. On 28 October 2008, the Vice President will share his views and insights from 10.00-12.00hours at the UNU Headquarters Building.
