We are pleased to announce that UN Secretariat’s Recruitment Mission led by Assistant Secretary-General for Human Resources Management Catherine Pollard is visiting Japan this month. Seizing this opportunity, a lecture entitled “Serving the United Nations for a Better World” will be organized jointly by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, United Nations University and United Nations Information Centre. The guest speakers will include ASG Pollard and other UN officials. ASG Pollard will deliver the keynote lecture, followed by the presentations by UN officials in charge of human resources management on employment opportunities at the UN and the people that the Organization requires. Japanese-nationals working for the UN will also speak about their experiences at UN Secretariat in New York and peacekeeping operations around the world.
