Ms. Shirin Ebadi, 2003 Nobel Peace Prize Winner, will give the 9th U Thant Distinguished Lecture at 10:45 on Monday, 22 November 2004, at the United Nations University U Thant International Conference Hall. Ms. Ebadi was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for her efforts for democracy and human rights, focusing especially on the struggle for the rights of women and children.
